Down jackets or puffer jackets are a 'must have' for New Zealand winters. Good down jackets are never cheap so when you buy one you want it to last.
Our journey began with a simple goal: to craft a down jacket robust enough for the adventurous souls braving the wilderness, whether for work or play. The result? We did. Our super tough Down Jacket would stand up to gorse, firewood stacking, and brushing past the old farm gear you left out.
Yet, our ambition didn't end there.
Inspired by the legendary durability of our canvas Supertrousers, we envisioned a down jacket that embodies the same indestructible spirit. Enter the Cactus Canvas Down Jacket: a marvel of craftsmanship, this jacket is far from the typical lightweight layer.
It's a well-made workhorse for those who work in the toughest of environments, designed with no compromise on toughness, warmth, and reliability.
Crafted with pride in New Zealand, our 30+ years of manufacturing know-how shows through in every detail of the Cactus Canvas Down Jacket.
We've listened, we've learned, and we've enhanced. Features include a robust two-way zipper, reinforced pockets for added durability, a detachable hood for versatility, and advanced water-repellent C-Canvas to keep you dry and warm in the harshest conditions.

The Hooded Jacket is a logical step from our Supertrousers. Crafted from the same Premium C-Canvas and lined with our polyester microfibre fleece this jacket is a tough customer for winter living. Due to the heavy fabrics we've darted the arms and gusseted the back of the shoulders so you can get your arms down near your body. Because winter is cold we've also built in a tailored hood to keep that most important part of your body warm. If you love your Supertrousers you'll love this jacket, check it out....

- Gusseted shoulder construction and darted, giving great range of motion
- Proofed Premium 12oz C-Canvas is great to wear and will last for ages
- Made in New Zealand with first world environmental and labour values
- Casual styling which won't let you down in most social situations

Our canvas jackets are the logical companion to our trouser range. Crafted from the same C-Canvas as our Supertrousers and lined with polyester microfibre fleece, this jacket will protect you from the elements but with way more durability than your average down or waterproof/breathable garment. This makes it a favourite in demanding industries like forestry, building and construction. Due to the heavy fabrics used for longevity and protection, we've darted the arms and gusseted the back of the shoulders so there's no loss of flexibility. The Collared Jacket has the same shell, same lining, same rugged toughness, just without the cranial protection of the Hooded Jacket.
