Seam sealed Nylon face waterproof and breathable fabric, reinforcing on cuffs, knee, seat and crutch to prevent chilly alpine blowouts. External pockets for extra durability, waterproofness and easy access. Internal snow cuffs - face shots are cool, pow up inside your legs isn't.

Like all Cactus gear, this is a seriously tough, high quality garment. Nearly all Cactus products are made in New Zealand, but you have may have noticed that this is not one of them. This is exactly the same product as we had made in New Zealand, it was just sewn and seam sealed offshore. We specified and sourced the components and materials. This year’s Lifties again uses our ultra durable Japanese WTF fabric, burly YKK zips and the proven seam sealing tape we’ve always used. We tried to make these in New Zealand but we couldn’t find anyone who was able to manufacture these in the time frame required. The manufacturer we used last time failed to deliver - anyone who was waiting for one last year may remember that nightmare.
We stand by this product 100%. It comes with our lifetime warranty on materials and work personship. We will still fix it if there’s something not right about it or if you have somehow managed to break it! We invite you to put it to the test.

Care

- If you get attacked by the abominable snowman and the fabric gets holed while saving your arm, send it back and we'll patch it

- I first laid eyes on the treasure these pants are, when my raft support strutted around giving then safety brief to the students I was guiding. I had beheld supertrousers before and lusted heavily over them but, lifties were like gore tex but so much better. Big pockets to put stuff in, in built knee pads which you'll use more than you think, reinforced everywhere (my mum is stoked, she's my person seamstress) great fit, I recon there stylish too. And for a pair of black pants designed to coop the worst cold conditions they are more breathable that the mountain air you standing in. I'd find some back pockets handy but they are designed for the mountains not for town, but if it's cold and wet out....... (Posted on 2/07/15)
