Pro, Comfy & RuggedReview by Philip
When I began bus driving they gave me a cheap, flimsy, long, ill-fitting and generally butt-ugly hi-viz rag to wear. While browsing at the local Cactus store, I tried on a mesh vest and knew right away that I'd found the answer. I've been wearing mine EVERY workday for four years now and the only thing that failed was the Cactus logo; it fell off! Bugger! No more free marketing for Cactus on my bus! It was working too; passengers used to see the logo, do a double-take and go, "Is that a CACTUS hi-viz?". I'd proudly reply, "Why yes it IS!"
The bus company hates it; they want me to wear their 'rag' because it's got their logo on it but I ignore them...and they have to admit, I look a LOT more professional in this vest than all the other drivers in their official 'rags'.
The starting price is hefty - especially on a bus drivers' wages - but no-one ever regretted buying quality. It's a shame the company can't see the value in having their logo on a HI QUALITY piece of gear that LASTS! Oh, well...their loss. (Posted on 27/06/19)
